WINTER WALKS

I love the simplest of things, the depth of things. I love the experience of feeling connected to everything. I also love taking the time to appreciate how amazing it is to be a conscious witness in life. I hope to capture experiences that cause the viewer’s mind to quiet and simply experience. I hope it evokes contemplation and or deep silence.

To me, Art celebrates life, both the beauty and seeming darkness that can only be seen when one shines light upon it. My fine art photography is about nature, and the nature of life. I’m fascinated by the cycles and the mystery that surrounds existence. My art explores those concepts and finds beauty in every aspect.

Moksha

Following the return of the rains, primitive peoples witnessed the rise of the undefiled water lily from the bottom of dried-up watercourses and considered the living blooms symbols of immortality and resurrection. This led to the widespread adoption of each plant in antiquity as sacred. The white lily symbolized the universal human potential to rise above the mire of phenomenal reality and through specific practice or grace of Nirvikalpa Samadhi to awaken to moksha (the transcendent state attained as a result of being released from the cycle of rebirth).
